The Integrative Health Difference

I worked as a registered nurse in traditional western medicine for years, gaining experience in everything from medical-surgical units, to cardiac units, and even in pediatric acute care and outpatient specialty clinics, but I never felt fully fulfilled. I wanted to integrate holistic therapies for my patients, but the system I was working in did not have time or space for those modalities.

I knew that I wanted to practice from a more natural and preventative perspective, and this led me to pursue integrative medicine. I desired to treat patients as a whole, honoring their mind, soul, and spirit, as well as their physical body. This stemmed from my experience as a yoga practitioner and the knowledge of how impactful eastern medicine therapies could be.

They are often referred to as “alternative” therapies, but these therapies are not a runner-up. Eastern medicine philosophy offers an incredible opportunity for healing the body from the inside out and dates back thousands of years. We aim to discover the root cause of disease rather than masking symptoms because ultimately this is how patients can truly heal and improve their quality of life. Additionally, integrative medicine emphasizes the importance of nutrition and lifestyle to nourish the body and mind.

I am passionate about this field and blending eastern and western medicine is something I deeply believe in and enjoy. It is so gratifying to help patients feel the best they have ever felt. I take immense pride in being a part of this specialized field of practitioners and I am grateful to share it with you.
